$25 Students (no accreditation, student ID must be presented and valid on day of conference)

9:15-9:45 “Human Trafficking 101: Getting the word out in your community.” Sr. Cecilia Liberatore, SND

                    ONE HOUR OF SOCIAL WORKER CEU**

10:00-11:05 2 Part panel discussion – Part 1 - “2Smart4U” Teacher/counselor speaks about communication with youth regarding human trafficking, recognizing danger signs, providing a trusting environment. Possible areas of discussion include social media,

peer pressure's role, and social expectations before and after a person is victimized. Panel 35 minutes w/ Moderator, 10 minutes audience questions

Part 2 – “Human Trafficking Survivors Speak Out”- “What I wish I'd known and What I wish others had known” Panel includes victims and victim's advocate as moderator. 20 minutes.

11:05-11:15 Short Break

11:15-11:45 “Hard Shifts, Soft Hearts” What healthcare professionals need to know to identify and assist victims of human trafficking.

11:45- 12:20 Keynote Address – Renee Jones Freeing Bodies, Minds, and Hearts: Challenges and accomplishments in helping trafficking survivors” (25 minutes speaking, 10 minutes Q&A)

12:20 – 1:00 Lunch

1:00- 1:10 Guests Return to Seats

1:10 - 1:45 “The Traumatized Child”- the special needs and considerations of child victims of sex trafficking – Dr. Peter Corpus, Director of Inpatient Services, Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (30 minute presentation, 5 minute Q&A)

1:50 – 2:30 “Pimp Culture – Pimp Language: Identifying the methods, language, and tactics of sex traffickers and law enforcements role in bringing them down.” NEO Crimes Against Children Task Force. (30 minute presentation 10 minutes paneled questions).

2:30 – 2:40 Short Break

2:45 - 3:55 Panel Discussion – “Resolve to be a Resolver not a Bystander.” Updates from agencies and organizations working on trafficking in NEO. Proposed Panel includes representatives of Bellfaire, Coalition, Task Force, etc. Each panel member addresses pre-selected questions for first 45 minutes last 20 minutes are audience driven Q&A. RJEC representative moderates.

3:55 – 4:00 Thank you/closing address – final logistics

4:00 - 4:30 Providing Certificates of Attendance, table clean-up.
